Sam Rees

Theatremaker, Writer and Performer
Sam Rees is a writer and performer from Suffolk. Recent work includes Lessons On Revolution (Soho Theatre) and Snakehead (The Hope Theatre).
Nationally, Sam has created work with Oxford Playhouse (Why Worms Live When Split in Two) and at Norwich Theatre with multi-award-winning director Sarah Meadows (Sketch For the Leaping Horse).
He is a founding member of We Talk of Horses Theatre, with whom he has co-written two shows, You Down There and Me Up Here and Where is Ban Ki-moon?
He also works frequently as a dramaturg, on projects including Selected Recordings of Us (Undone Theatre), 34/3 (Pip Williams), and Past Life (Alice Corrigan).
In addition, Sam works as a facilitator for Writerz ‘n’ Scribez, with whom he has delivered creative-writing workshops with AgeUk, The Dalgarno Trust and Southwark Wellbeing Hub, and with Naked Politics, with whom he delivers workshops on political activism to young people.
