Sam Rees is a critically acclaimed theatre-maker, his most recent project, Lessons On Revolution, toured to the Barbican, Soho Theatre, Jermyn Street and Summerhall, and was praised as “compelling and galvanising” (James Graham), “one of my favourites of this year’s Fringe” (Natasha Tripney), “a heartfelt paean to the politics of hope ★★★★★” (The Scotsman), “the best thing we’ve seen this year ★★★★★” (The Morning Star), “intelligent, questioning documentary theatre ★★★★” (The Stage), and “one of the most talked about shows from this year’s festival” (The Conversation). Described as an artist “making space for radical conversation” (A Young(ish) Perspective), Sam’s work has led to commissions from the Royal Court and the UK Space Agency. He guest-lectures at KCL, UEA, LSE, Birkbeck, York, CSSD, Lancaster and Rose Bruford, and is currently a PGR at Queen Mary University of London.

Ella Dale is a freelance creative producer and Co-Artistic Director of Carmen Collective. Previously Deputy and Interim Artistic Director at The Hope Theatre, her recent work includes the five-star productions Lessons On Revolution and The Food Bank Show. She also worked as Assistant Producer across Relish Theatre’s Regeneration Season and spent the last year as Development Producer at The Pleasance, where she co-produced the Charlie Hartill and Fringe First award-winning Kanpur 1857. Her most recent credits include The Sequel at The Kings Head, directed by award-winning Imy Wyatt Corner, she is currently assistant producer for new musical Acid’s Reign starring Victoria Scone.
